Refund Policy

1. Overview
MRU Consulting Pty Ltd (ABN 31 150 938 113), trading as Statement Zen (“Statement Zen”, “we”, “us”) offers paid subscriptions to its vendor statement reconciliation platform. We are the seller and merchant of record for all purchases. Payments are processed securely by Stripe Payments, our PCI DSS Level 1 payment processor; we handle billing, invoicing, and refunds directly. We never store or process your card details on our own servers.
2. 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee
We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on your first payment. If you are not satisfied with the Service, contact us within 14 days of your first charge and we will issue a full refund of that payment, no questions asked.
3. Renewals & Subsequent Payments
- Renewal charges (the second and later billing periods) are non-refundable.
- You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings or via the receipt link in your Stripe confirmation email. Cancellation stops all future charges and takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access until then.
- We do not provide pro-rata refunds for partial billing periods after the 14-day guarantee window.
4. Usage-Based & Metered Charges
Where a plan includes usage-based or top-up charges, those charges reflect work already delivered (statements reconciled to a verified result) and are non-refundable once incurred. Statement Zen only meters a charge against a delivered, mathematically verified result; statements we cannot verify are not charged.
5. How to Request a Refund
Email billing@statementzen.com from the address on your account, or use the receipt link in your Stripe confirmation email. Eligible refunds are issued by us through Stripe back to your original payment method, typically within 5–10 business days depending on your bank or card issuer.
6. Statutory Rights
Nothing in this policy limits any non-excludable rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable consumer protection legislation in your jurisdiction. Where such rights apply, they operate in addition to the guarantee above.
