Aged Payables vs Aged Creditors

Same report, different regional name: Aged Payables (US usage) and Aged Creditors (UK/AU usage) both mean the report of amounts owed to suppliers, bucketed by how long each amount has been outstanding.

Aged Payables (the US term) and Aged Creditors (the UK/AU term) are the same report: every amount a business currently owes its suppliers, bucketed into aging periods (current, 30 days, 60 days, 90+ days) by how long each has been outstanding.

This report is almost always an AGED-OPEN-ITEMS view — it lists what's still owed, not everything that ever happened. By definition it excludes anything already paid.

That distinction is the single most common false-positive trap in vendor statement reconciliation: an invoice absent from an aged-open report might simply be paid, not missing from your ERP at all. Pull the full-activity ledger (not just the aged-open view) before concluding an invoice is genuinely missing.
